Battle Of The Somme

In 2013 during Help for Heroes Big Battlefield Bike Ride we went to Thiepval where they have all the names of the soldiers who died at during the Battle of the Somme.

Hundreds of thousands of names, all etched in the walls, all these graves surrounding the area, all the pain, bloodshed, and death 100 years previous.

It hits you hard.

Every memorial we stopped at, an ex-soldier said something, these words for some reason have never left me:

"As you ride on, please do silently, as they sleep beneath your feet."

No one said a word for miles.

You could only imagine what these poor young men went through, the hundreds and thousands of them, laying down their lives for us, for me, for you, for future generations, as we rode through some of the most beautiful French countryside.

I want to thank Help for Heroes for giving me some of the best memories of my life.

Be proud of them, honour them, remember them.

"When you go home, tell them of us and say"
"For their tomorrow, we gave our today."

Lest we forget.

Kind and Decent? Yeah Right

During a press conference today regarding the report into Labour's anti-semitism problem, Corbyn managed to compare Israel to ISIS, and a Labour Jewish MP, Ruth Smeeth, was attacked which made her walk out in tears.

What did Corbyn do? Absolutely nothing, he didn't intervene, he didn't apologise, he didn't even acknowledge the fact that one of his own MPs had been attacked, and in a very public way.

Also to compare the country Israel to ISIS beggars belief.

When has Israel thrown gay men off of buildings?

When has Israel gang raped women, then stoned them to death for being raped?

When has Israel launched an attack on their own people, burying women and children alive?

Since Corbyn's leadership he has proven he is many things, but kind and decent he is not? Not even a smidgen of evidence has come through for that to be true, other than the fact he once made tea for a cameraman, whoop de do!

Please Not Boris

Boris Johnson won the Brexit campaign, much to his dismay.

He didn't expect the win, he didn't want the win, but now he's got it.

It's pretty obvious Boris wanted a remain win, because he most likely voted remain himself, why? Well he wanted to look like a fallen hero, the man who backed Brexit, but sadly didn't win, he was going to be their champion, their voice, their hero.

No one really expected us to vote to leave the EU, I didn't and I voted leave! I expected remain to win, why? I don't know.

But since we have voted leave, it's lit a few fires, mainly in the Labour party, 80% of Corbyn's MPs have voted a No Confidence in his leadership, but being the revolutionary he is, he ain't backing down, he's breaking the Labour party.

Even one of his most ardent supporters Owen Jones has been suggesting the Labour party should probably split.

However, the Tories are not free of turmoil.

Like I said, Boris and Gove have gone into hiding, and people wants these two to lead us through a Brexit negotiation?

There are two candidates I am torn between, Stephen Crabb, who's a working class boy, he has not been born with a silver spoon, he is full of conviction, pride, and self awareness.

Then there's Theresa May, has done a very good job as Home Secretary, firstly she deported Abu Hamsa, and Qatada, and didn't deport Gary McKinnon, a computer hacker who suffers from Austism.

Labour would have done it the other way round, kept the hate preachers, and extradited McKinnon.

Theresa May has more bollocks than the majority of men in the Cabinet, I like that, she's strong independent, and also full of conviction, her only down fall really is her fashion sense, but I can look past that..... sometimes.

Crabb's downfall, no one really knows who he is, and his weird beard.

I do think Tories who voted for leave have got to look past who backed what campaign, and need to start looking at leader material.

I don't think Boris is a leader, I don't believe he'd be the best option for this country, or the party.

However, I know Stephen Crabb won't get far in this leadership bid, so I am going for Theresa, I don't care that she backed remain.

Is The End Nigh For Labour?

Is Jeremy Corbyn doing what Tony Benn failed to do all those years ago, and actually split the Labour Party?

If not, it looks like he's having a bloody good go at it!

It seems to be the Parliamentary Labour Party vs Corbynistas.

However the Corbynistas have it wrong, surprise surprise, as not all of those opposing Jeremy Corbyn are Blairites or Brownites, and to say so is to be blind, and rather rude as J.K Rowling said in a tweet today:

Jo Cox, considered a Blairte, was killed, murdered in her constituency, and here they are calling her, and her beliefs vermin, lovely to see the "Kinder, gentler politics" Jeremy was talking about at the beginning of his leadership last year.

People like Lisa Nandy and Owen Smith can hardly be called Blairites, yet here they are being labelled one, because they rightly doubt Corbyn is the right man to lead them to a victory.

Corbyn has around 3 allies from his original shadow cabinet, McDonnell, Abbott, and Burnham.

Burnham only stays because he's desperate for any little slice of power, McDonnell because they share the same views, and Abbott because she's still secretly in love with Corbyn.

Corbyn is killing the Labour party, he splitting it right down the middle.

Today at the PLP meeting Jess Phillips apparently begged Corbyn to resign, and Harriet Harman was so upset she was apparently crying, the only Labour MP in Scotland, Ian Murray, told Corbyn of the threats he and his constituency staff are receiving from Momentum, and pro-Corbyn think tank.

So what did Jeremy do?

He, McDonnell and Abbott addressed a crowd of people, one of the being the person pictured above, saying he was here to stay, and not once mentioning the EU Referendum, which is pretty obvious he voted to Leave. (So much for straightforward, honest politics)

Can he not see what he is doing to the party? Can he not see his has lost control of his MPs?

Over 40 MP's and Lords have quit from the Shadow Cabinet, with one being sacked.

Hilary Benn, the sacked MP, received a huge round of applause from the Labour benches, whereas Corbyn received nothing, except heckling for him to resign when he took a dig at his ex-Shadow Cabinet members.

And the Labour front bench was incredibly bare, Corbyn unable to fill the front bench.

British Politicians: How Low Can You Go?

So we voted for Brexit, and what do the powers that be want to do?

Ignore it, after all it was only a referendum not an election.

Sturgeon wants to ignore the will of 17 million people, and listen to 2.6 million people, she wants to overrule the result, and stop a Brexit from happening.

If she does this, I think she'll there's more English support for Scotland to go, than what there ever had been before.

Both major political parties are in turmoil, Labour are wanting to out their leader Jeremy Corbyn with 23 Shadow peeps quitting in 24 hours, and the Tories are in hiding.

Although Gideon did make an appearance this morning to reassure us that he wasn't going to have to use the "emergency budget" he had promised during the run up to the referendum.

The Tories need to elect a new leader too, this is where I will re-join to help stop it becoming Boris Johnson.

Why don't I want Boris?

He lied to us, deep down he wanted to remain in the EU, he didn't really want us to chose Brexit, he only backed Vote Leave because he thought the remain camp would win, Cameron would quit a fwe years down the line, and he'd be in favour with us Vote Leave Tories.

It's back fired badly, not only did Brexit win, but people want him to lead us out of the EU. He knows it, I know it, and you should all know that would be a terrible decision.

It's like Jeremy Corbyn "backing" the remain camp, he didn't really want to remain, he wanted to leave, he had wanted to leave the EU for years, he stood side by side with Tony Benn about how undemocratic the EU was.

But the powers that be in Labour told him he has to back remain, so he went on holiday, did a half arsed campaign and didn't look particularly upset with the result that came in.

So Labour want Corbyn out, Tories want Boris in, stock markets aren't doing as bad as first expected, Osborne isn't having to raid the pensions, and only 36% of young people voted, & Scotland want another Independence Referendum (can we handle another one?!)

A general election looms, so the Tories need to pick the best, and strongest candidate, this is not Boris, and Labour either need to give Corbyn a chance or get on with getting a new leader in place.

Maybe we'll have another hung parliament, I can't see that the public have much faith in either party at the moment.

They both need to pull their socks up and get on with it!

Last Day Pledge - Vote Leave

If you're undecided, or are for remain, I ask you to think of these few things.

Are you a republican? Would you prefer to get rid of our Monarchy and have an elected head of state?

Do you dislike the House of Lords, an unelected bunch who have a say over our laws, economy, etc?

If your answer is yes to both, then why do you not mind having an unelected EU telling you what to do, making laws, regulations, telling you how to live?

Why is that OK, but the Queen and HoL's is not?

The whole royal family costs each tax payer around 56p per person a year, the EU costs every week, according to fullfact.org, £350 million.

Now before you say "Ahh, but the EU gives some of that money back to us!" Yes, they do, but only after they've told us how to spend it.

Unlike the Queen and the HoL where we know who they are, we can take to the streets, demand our government make an elected second chamber.

We can petition to get rid of the Monarchy, and have a president instead, we can have a revolution, however, how c

How can we reform, dethrone, make accountable the EU, when no one knows who's in charge?

How can we march in a demo when angry at a decision made by the EU, when we don't know who we'd be marching against?

One more question, the remain campaign keep banging on about the fact that we can veto against this the EU propose, do you trust any Prime Minister to hear the call of the nation and veto against an EU army? Against Turkey joining the EU? Against something we as a nation find fundamentally wrong?

In conclusion I urge you to vote leave, to make the government we elected wholly accountable, to not give our politicians anymore get out of jail free cards.

Take control, take back ownership, vote leave.

Jo Cox

I am so incredibly sorry for the horrific death of Labour MP Jo Cox, my condolences go to her family and friends, and to the people who witnessed her awful murder.

To those who tried to save her, you are heroes, thank you for proving that where evil stands, good is there to deflect it.

To those trying to score political points off of her death, whether it be saying how some people blame all Muslims for the actions of ISIS, or blame all Catholic's for the actions of what the IRA did.

Or whether you're pointing out that just because he's right wing, doesn't mean and wanted to vote leave, that we're all in the same boat.

Here's the true, and sad story:

A young woman of 42, with two young children has been murdered, by a crazed right wing f**k wit.

A husband has lost his best friend, his lover, his wife.

A mum and dad have lost their daughter.

A sister has lost her sibling.

A friend has been cruelly taken away.

A young woman will never see her children grow up, have families of their own, go to uni.

Two children will miss out on the knowledge their mother could pass on to them, the guidance she could have given them, the love she would have surrounded them with.

A mother and a father are going to bury their child, and lay her to rest.

Yes Thomas Mair is a right wing, nut case, who deserves everything he is to receive in jail, but can we all please note that some people are mourning the death of a loved one.

Let's all remember an MP, who had up and coming potential, who died serving her constituents, who died for no good reason, let's all be angry at Thomas Mair, let's all stop using her death as a political weapon.

The Smell of Desperation from Remain Stinks!

How desperate do you have to be to wheel out Gordon Brown? A man who put our country into financial ruin, and bailed out the banks.

How desperate do you have to be to want to stand shoulder to shoulder with Tony Blair? The man who started a war on false pretenses, the smiling assassin, not only hated by Tory voters, but despised by his own party, but at least he won his elections.

Two men, who have no credibility with the public, the reason Labour have failed so badly in the last general elections is because of these two men.

The reason Jeremy Corbyn is now leader of the Labour party is because of these two men.

Why would any Tory want to stand next to Brown and Blair with all seriousness, and ask the British people, who have recently told the political elite how they feel towards the two New Labour inventors, to listen to them?

The Leave campaign isn't doing much better, Boris is only for leave so he can get the trust of the Tories who want to leave, which is majority.

Then there's Michael Gove, hardly has the British people's trust at the best of times.

Nigel Farage..... well he's in seventh heaven, he has his referendum, and it looks like his side is winning.

However it's not just the Tories that seem to be in dire straits, Labour is in a pickle of it's own.

Firstly, majority of people don't know Labour's official stance, perhaps that's because it has a leader who for years has wanted to leave the EU, and is suddenly told he wants to stay (so much for straight honest politics.)

Labour's official stance is to remain, however the leadership have told it's MPs not to share a platform with the Tories:

Not only has Brown & Blair been wheeled out as last minute attempts, Harman, Khan, Kinnock, and Tessa Jowel have all shared platforms with Tories.

Great to see Corbyn's leadership being taken seriously by his own MPs and Mayor!

The desperation from the Remain campaign stinks, and it's embarrassing.

Leaving Is The Best Option

I don't like the EU, not purely because we have an immigration crisis, it's how undemocratic it is.

On the 31st March 2017, because after this the EU will have all power, and we will NOT be allowed a referendum again.

This literally is a one time only chance to leave.

Do you want to be told what to do by people you did not vote for? Do you want to be told what you can and can't do by people you don't even know the names of?

About a week or so ago Harriet Harman was shown the the seven heads of the EU, she couldn't name one of them.

In fact I don't think a single person, except for Andrew Marr because he was told who they were, on that panel could name one of those men pictured.

How is this good?

People like Owen Jones thinks we should vote In, because we can protest our way to a democratic EU.

Some of us have jobs, families, and lives to think of.

Owen Jones also believes our Human Rights will be taken away the second we leave..... again this is just scare mongering.

Which the Remain campaign has done since this started.

Firstly it'll take years, and years for us to actually leave if we do vote that way, nothing will change over night.

Human Rights won't be taken away the second we leave, housing crisis won't suddenly be solved, and borders won't be shut.

However, those who are at fault will be more accountable.

How can we hold to account those we don't know the names of? How can we hold to account when our own politicians haven't got a clue who they?

The House of Lords is unelected, however, we, if we wanted, could change that, how could we change who was in power in the EU?

Hands up who voted for or against Jean Claude Juncker, the President of the EU? No one?

Hands up who voted for Angela Merke? Alexis Tsipras? Francois Hollande? No one in this country, that's for sure.

I have two Spanish friends who will be voting for Britain to leave, I also have three Eastern European friends who will be voting for Britain to leave.

They also want their home countries to leave as well.

The EU is an undemocratic, dictatorship, yet, who's the dictator? We don't know, and that's what worries me most.

If you're a Labour voter, and you HATE the Tories with all your might, imagine having a government you can't really hold to account, like we currently do.

Imagine a day where, someone like David Cameron has no one else to blame but himself, and you can hold him solely accountable.

Imagine if Jeremy Corbyn wins the next election, and you actually don't like what he's doing, you can hold him solely accountable.

The reason people like Jeremy Corbyn have suddenly changed their tune is because they can deflect your anger, onto the unknown EU leaders.

They're not wholly accountable.

Now, what Britain might be unhappy about with the EU isn't necessarily what France, Germany, Spain, Greece, Romania, etc might be unhappy with.

So how do we get all these countries together? How do you get them to agree on issues that effect each country differently? How do you agree on everything 100% of the time?

You don't!

I've left the Tories, because this current lot are looking more and more like Blair & Brown, EU puppets.

I urge you to vote to leave, I urge you to take control, to make our governments accountable for each, and everyone of their actions, I urge you to make Britain great again.
